Dear Rev Dr Waite

AN EVIDENTIAL REVIEW OF THE VPP THEORY

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Please allow me first of all to introduce myself.  I am a member of Calvary Bible Presbyterian Church, Pandan Gardens in Singapore, who have not had the privilege of meeting you but have heard affectionately of you from our BP founding leaders, Rev Dr Timothy Tow and Dr S H Tow and also been blessed by reading several of your publications.

With the difficulties currently occurring at Life Bible Presbyterian Church that started with the manner in which the VPP view was promoted at FEBC last year, however, I had been concerned, and had written privately several times to Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo, the chief expounder of the view, to share some of my analysis and findings on the subject matter and in order as well to better understand the issues.  I had recently summarised these findings and sent the very first copy to Rev Dr Khoo as a matter of Christian brotherly courtesy.  After prayer and waiting upon the Lord, I felt it could be effective to send the second copy to you, seeing that on the one hand, according to Rev Timothy Tow, you introduced the VPP idea to us in 1992, while on the other hand, Dean Burgon’s works published under your hand, would show out clearly that the Dean held not such a VPP view.

I would greatly value your comments on the enclosed review document, and if there is some way also that you can help towards the restoration of peace at Life Bible Presbyterian Church and FEBC, may the Lord grant you the wisdom and the grace to do so.  (Phil 2:2).

Just a concerned brother in our Lord Jesus Christ,

Seng Hoo
